Terms of Service
Plain-English terms for using Spyro. By creating an account you're agreeing to these. They're deliberately short.
1. The agreement
These Terms are a contract between you (“you”) and Spyro(“Spyro”, “we”, “us”), a sole proprietorship based in India. They cover the website at spyro.app and the app at app.spyro.app (the “Service”). If you don't agree, don't use the Service. If you're using Spyro on behalf of an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind it.
2. What you get
Access to the modules described on the homepage, subject to the per-plan limits listed on our website. Limits and features may change; if a change is material we'll email you at least 14 days before it applies and you can cancel before then for a pro-rated refund of any unused prepaid period.
Modules marked “beta” (AI prompt tracker, AI Overview tracking, GEO readiness audit) work but are still being tuned. We don't guarantee specific accuracy on beta modules; we do guarantee they won't silently fail — if a beta job errors, you'll see it.
3. Account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. Don't share logins; invite teammates from inside the app (on plans that include seats). You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.
4. Free trial, billing & taxes
- 3-day free trial:includes up to 3 blog generations. We'll never auto-charge you at the end of the trial — you only pay if you add a payment method.
- Subscriptions are billed in advance and renew monthly or annually until you cancel. Annual plans are billed up front for the year.
- Blog and usage allowances reset at the start of each billing period and do not roll over.
- Merchant of Record: all payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which collects and remits any applicable sales tax, GST or VAT on our behalf. The price you see on the pricing page is what you pay (tax handled where Dodo is required to charge it).
- Failed payments are retried automatically. After a period of non-payment the subscription is paused and the account becomes read-only until you update payment.
5. Cancellation & refunds
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing, which opens the Dodo Payments customer portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period; you keep access until then. We don't refund partial periods except where required by law.
14-day money-back guarantee: if you cancel a first-time paid subscription within 14 days of the first charge, email support@spyro.app and we'll refund the charge. Subscriptions cancelled inside the 3-day free trial are free of charge — there's nothing to refund.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for sites, content or workflows that are illegal where you live or where they target users.
- Resell, sublicense or proxy access to the Service (the Agency plan already lets you deliver client work — that's fine; selling raw API access isn't).
- Reverse-engineer the Service, crawl or scrape Spyro itself, bypass plan limits or usage metering, or pretend to be more than one account.
- Submit malware, phishing pages, or content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or privacy as a target site to audit.
- Use the Service to attack, overload or disrupt any third-party website. Our crawler is polite by default; don't try to make it impolite.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section. For serious or repeated breaches we may do so without refund.
7. Your data & content
You own everything you put into Spyro (the domains you add, the prompts you track, drafts the AI writer produces for you). You grant us a narrow licence to process that data only to provide the Service. We do not use your data to train any AI model. See the Privacy Policy.
AI-generated content (blog drafts, ideas, suggestions) is provided as a starting point. You're responsible for reviewing it for accuracy, originality and legal compliance before publishing.
8. Third-party data accuracy
SERP, keyword volume, ranking and AI-citation data come from third-party APIs and from sampling language models that produce different answers between runs. We work hard to make this data useful, but we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness or timeliness, and you should not treat it as the sole basis for any business or financial decision. Citation results are reported as frequencies, not yes/no facts.
9. Service availability
We aim for high availability but the Service is provided on an “as-is, as-available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant any specific ranking, traffic, citation or business outcome.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law: Spyro is not liable for indirect, consequential, special or incidental damages, or for lost profits, revenue, rankings, citations, or loss of data. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, or anything else that can't be limited under applicable law.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify Spyro against third-party claims arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your misuse of the Service, or (c) content you put into the Service that infringes third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate the Service (in whole or to a specific account) with reasonable notice, or immediately for breach of Section 6 (Acceptable Use) or non-payment. On termination we'll keep your data for the period set in the Privacy Policy so you can export it; after that, it's deleted. Clauses that should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive.
13. Changes to these terms
We'll post any change here and bump the “last updated” date. Material changes will be emailed to account holders at least 14 days before they apply. Continued use after that means you accept them.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India — except that you, as a consumer, may also bring proceedings in the country where you live, where local law requires.
