Spyro AI Browser Extension Privacy Policy

Spyro AI does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. Every audit runs locally in your browser. We have no servers that receive data from the extension, and the extension contains no analytics, tracking or advertising code.

When you open Spyro AI on a page (by clicking the toolbar icon or pressing Alt+Shift+S), it reads that page's HTML, meta tags, headings, links, images, structured data and response headers so it can check them for SEO and GEO issues. This content is processed only in your browser and is never sent to us or to any third party.

To complete some checks, the extension may request public files from the same website you are auditing, such as robots.txt, sitemap.xml, llms.txt and llms-full.txt, and the http/https and www/non-www versions of the page's URL. These requests go only to that website and only when you run an audit. They are sent without your cookies or login credentials. No data is sent to Spyro or to any other server.

The extension saves the following in your browser's local extension storage:

• your settings (theme, panel width and which side the panel opens on), and
• a short history of recent audit results (page address, scores and the time of the audit), so it can show how a page's scores changed between audits.

This data never leaves your device and is not synced to your account. You can clear the audit history at any time in the extension's Settings, and all of it is deleted when you uninstall the extension.

• activeTab: lets the extension read only the tab you are on, and only after you open Spyro AI.
• scripting: lets the extension add its own results panel to that page and highlight elements when you click an issue.
• storage: keeps your settings and recent audit history on your device.
• webRequest and site access (optional): not granted at install. They are requested only if you click the http/www redirect check, and only for the website you are auditing. They are used to read redirect status codes and are removed as soon as that check finishes.

If you export a report (JSON or CSV), the file is created in your browser and saved to your device. Spyro AI does not upload it anywhere.

We do not sell, rent, transfer or share user data with anyone. Some parts of the extension link to external tools, such as Google's Rich Results Test or the Schema.org validator. If you click such a link, that site opens in a new tab and its own privacy policy applies.

The use of information received by Spyro AI complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

The extension does not collect information from anyone, including children under 13.

If we change how the extension handles data, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date before releasing the new version.
